Apache Kafka is an event streaming platform used by MAIA Software to send information about software development events, such as commits, builds and tests, to the MAIA WebApp.
MAIA Software is using the Glimse protocol on top of Apache Kafka for streamed communications. Glimse is a variant of the Eiffel (external link) protocol and has many similarities regarding vocabulary, descriptions, and schemas.
Kafka is not included in MAIA Software and must be installed separately, if not already present.
MAIA Software is tested with Apache Kafka 2.6.2.
